FAQ’s
Q: Is Rolfing painful?
A: I tell clients that Rolfing certainly earned that reputation when it was being developed and practiced. Today the curriculum focuses on using just enough pressure to allow the body to release without force. In other words, finding that sweet spot that allows the tissue to let go. This is not to say there won’t occasionally be some challenging sensations, but writhing pain is not part of the program.
Q: How often should I get Rolfed?
A: Optimally, once one to two weeks. In a body that has never been Rolfed, you may find that longer than two weeks is too long to wait to build on the previous sessions results.
Q: Do I just do 10 sessions and then I’m all done forever?
A: The series is designed to re-balance your body, essentially from “scratch”. Some clients find the 10 series alone to be sufficient, while others find periodic tune-ups to be beneficial. It really depends on a case-by-case basis.
